Bill Maher, the political comedian, had his name placed on the Hollywood Walk of Fame this week, according to reports.

Maher's star was placed next to the W Hotel near the corner of Vine Street and Hollywood Boulevard, according to ABC News.

Bill Maher, who is probably most famous for hosting the late-night show “Politically Incorrect,” stood close to talk show host Larry King and Family Guy creator Seth MacFarlane during the ceremony. Maher’s star is the 2,417th one to be put down on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Maher had 26 Emmy nominations throughout his career, but has never actually won one.

“I have 26 unused Emmy speeches,” he joked during his address.
