Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi appeared in court over accusations of corruption on Monday.
It is the second time this year the 74-year-old Italian leader finds himself in court for alleged corruption involving one of his media companies.
Berlusconi currently faces four different trials, three on accusations of corruption and a fourth on accusations of having relations with an underage prostitute.
The Italian prime minister himself denies all accusations, describing them as pure inventions.
“There is something which is not going in the right direction for a democracy to have government leaders humiliated by having to spend hours in court while these important international events are taking place,” Berlusconi said outside of the court ahead of his trial, referring to the killing of Osama bin Laden, according to the BBC.
