DUBLIN, Ireland—Barrister Kevin Maguire saw Shen Yun at The Convention Centre Dublin on April 20th, and felt that the show truly brought ancient Chinese culture to life.

Mr Maguire added, “It brings to me what I wouldn’t know otherwise. The only other way I would have to access the traditional Chinese culture would be to read it. And it is not so immediate and exciting.”

Shen Yun draws upon stories and legends that span China’s history, having been documented and passed down uninterrupted for 5,000 years, leading up to the current times. Mr. Maguire said, “It is very good because it brings traditional Chinese culture into life through the dances and the performances. To see the traditional Chinese culture has a much greater impact than to read about it. It has much more immediate effect.”

Mr Maguire was also impressed by the choreography in the show, “The colours, movements, the music, the dancing, the choreography, is very good, very enjoyable.”
