Chelsea Cai began the study of dance at the age of five, and studied dance at Fei Tian Academy of the Arts. She first performed with Shen Yun Performing Arts in 2007 in Holiday Wonders, and in 2008 joined the company on its world tour. In 2008, she was the gold medalist in the junior women’s division of New Tang Dynasty Television’s International Chinese Classical Dance Competition, and in 2009 and 2010 nearly repeated the feat in the women’s adult division, winning the silver medal.
