After a stressful hospital visit, all Dallas French wanted was to enjoy a quality meal surrounded by loved ones. She had no clue she'd encounter a complete stranger filled with “love and understanding.”

On July 21 French, her mother-in-law, and husband, as well as the couple’s infant daughter Ellee, decided to stop in Olive Garden located on Rodney Parham Road in Little Rock, Arkansas, to unwind. A few hours prior, the family had learned Ellee had tested positive for E. Coli.

While waiting to indulge in breadsticks and salad appetizers, the 36-year-old prepared a bottle for the “cranky” infant, but lost it all when it spilled it on herself and onto the floor. Just as this was happening, the waiter—breadsticks and salad appetizers in tow—decided to offer a helping hand.

The waiter, identified as Robert Davis, gave the tired mother a much-needed hand when he offered to feed the baby so she can enjoy her meal.

“Here, let me feed her while you eat,” Davis said according to French.

French was enamored by the sweet gesture that she snapped of photo of Davis feeding baby Ellee and posted the image onto her Facebook post.

“This melted all of us and this is what we need more of! He fed her I ate my salad and bread sticks and that milk on the floor got cleaned up after we left because he just understood! He didn’t even know what we had went through that day and showed us love and understanding- not irritated that I had made a mess and my baby was screaming... Gosh I wish I woulda got his name because he deserves the recognition!!,” read the caption.
