Andrea Bargnani of the Toronto Raptors dropped 41 points on the New York Knicks on Wednesday evening in Madison Square Garden but his strong effort wasn't enough as the Raptors were edged 113-110.
Knicks guard Raymond Felton, nearing the end of regulation, hit the game-winning three-pointer to seal the Raptors’ fate.
“It was bouncing, it was bouncing and I was just praying, praying, praying,” Felton said, according to Northjersey.com.
The Knicks have now won six straight and Amar'e Stoudemire has also scored at least 30 points in the past six consecutive games.
Bargnani matched him on Wednesday night, however, and could have tied up the game late in the fourth quarter but missed a three-point shot.
“I didn’t take a good shot, but there were only two seconds on the clock, so I did what I could,” Bargnani told the Toronto Star.
