Amtrak Crash Kills 2, Injures 116 In South Carolina

Two people were killed and more than 110 were injured in a train collision in South Carolina on Sunday (February 4, 2018).

Authorities say an Amtrak passenger train crashed into a freight train parked on a side track.

The conductor and engineer on the Amtrak train were killed and 116 people were taken to four hospitals, with at least three in critical condition.

This is the third fatal accident involving Amtrak in less than two months.
