The 14-year-old ventriloquist from Oklahoma has delighted her loyal fans by returning to the stage for another series of America’s Got Talent; this time, “The Champions.”
In a series that celebrates the successes of competitors of the past, Darci Lynne will have to apply her talents to some stiff competition to jostle her way to first place.
Armed with a new, sassy-mouthed sidekick, “Oscar,” Darci has shaken off the pre-season nerves and is ready for round two.

Darci Lynne with her competition-stealing original sidekick, “Petunia”
Darci’s AGT success story began two years ago when she won season twelve of the popular American talent show. Aged only 12 years old herself, she wowed the crowds with her unusual ventriloquism skills and built up an amazing following in record time.
In the two years since, Darci Lynne has blossomed into a beautiful teenager with a killer sense of humor to boot. But does she have what it takes to kick the competition into orbit a second time?
Darci Lynne and Petunia garnered a worldwide fan base
It was never in question that Darci Lynne would be called back for the “Champions” series, which unites past AGT winners and fan favorites from around the globe.
However, nerves were visible when Darci stepped out onto that iconic stage for the first time. Not only is she older and wiser to the franchise, but there’s something different about her new act and her puppet sidekick, too!
Back in 2017 when Darci Lynne first appeared on the stage of AGT, she had very little performance experience and thought the audience may laugh at her for trying to keep the “dying art” of ventriloquism alive. The show hadn’t seen a ventriloquist for over two years.
But as soon as the pretty, perky Petunia opened her mouth and released a sassy stream of words and song, the audience knew that Darci was something very special indeed.
Had such an AMAZING time being back with my America's Got Talent fam, and now, I’m so happy to be a part of the #AGTChampions fam!! Had a fun time performing with Oscar 💛🌟🐭🎤
As she returned to the stage for the start of the “Champions” season, the pretty teen was clearly nervous about how her new fuzzy friend, “Oscar,” would be received by the fans.
But she had nothing to worry about; her stunning skill and cheeky performance wooed the audience just as perfectly as the first time around.
“I always love a good competition,” Darci said to the judges panel, “but I missed being on America’s Got Talent … having a chance to have the ‘World Champion’ title just seemed awesome!”

Fierce feedback: The judges won’t hold back!
Simon Cowell told nervous Darci to keep calm and carry on but quickly added with trademark severity that she was the first performer and had to set the bar high.
Cheeky Oscar, Darci’s new fuzzy buddy on stage, made a side-splitting joke at Simon’s expense and set the crowd roaring with laughter. This young performer is not to be underestimated!
The talented singer also threw in pitch-perfect renditions of “Nutbush City Limits” and “Proud Mary” to wild applause from the audience.
Darci Lynne and Oscar wow the crowds
Darci, not to be overshadowed by her friend, told Oscar to be quiet and sang “Rolling on a River” in her own voice, proving that she’s not only a ventriloquist but a talented singer in her own right.
The season’s four judges, Simon Cowell, Heidi Klum, Mel B, and Howie Mandel, couldn’t deny her star quality.
