18 more deaths and 94 new cases were recorded for Victoria on Aug 29.

Victoria’s death toll now stands at 514 and the national figure 601

Latest deaths include a woman aged in her 60s, a woman and two men in their 70s, four women and five men in their 80s, and two woman and three men in their 90s.

Stage four restrictions remain the same in metropolitan Melbourne featuring an 8pm-5am curfew, 5km travel limit from home, one-hour outdoor exercise limit and widespread workforce shutdowns including child care. Stage three protocols stay for regional Victoria.

Police have issued 195 fines in the past 24 hours, including 66 for curfew breaches and 27 for failing to wear a face mask.
