As a result of junk food binge, TLC’s My 600-Lb Life Season 4 star Nikki Webster, from Little Rock, Arkansas, weighed an unbelievable 649 pounds (approx. 294 kg). Realizing her food addiction was killing her, she bravely embraced it and made a conscious effort to save herself from her own self-destructive behavior.
“When I start my day, I can’t wait to start eating,” Nikki Webster, then 33, told TLC’s My 600-lb Life in 2015.
It didn’t help that Nikki has doting parents, who would give her anything she wanted. “Whatever I want to eat, they cook and prepare,” she said.

If Nikki craved a milkshake and donuts, her parents would serve it up for her every morning. Without having to step into the kitchen, Nikki’s order of food would be delivered upstairs by her parents with their stairlift.
“My mom or dad will make me a plate and send it up to me so I don’t have to go downstairs, until breakfast,” she said.
Due to binge eating, Nikki was morbidly obese, weighing a whopping 649 pounds. The excess pounds made walking and taking a shower a struggle. Walking down the stairs to squeeze herself into the bathroom was enough to make her tired.

In a cry for help, Nikki said: “My weight is debilitating. My body is so painful, I hate it. But I say this to myself. Food is an addiction to me and my addiction is killing me.”
In an interview with People, she shared: “It hurt too much to have hope for the future because I wasn’t sure how much time I had. I was so unable to do so many things that it was difficult.”

So, Nikki made a life-changing decision. To overcome her morbid obesity, she agreed to lose 50 pounds (approx. 23 kg) on a diet plan so as to undergo gastric sleeve surgery.
Gastric sleeve surgery is a type of weight loss surgery whereby the surgeon removes part of the stomach to create a narrow gastric tube or “sleeve,” which restricts your food intake, making you full when eating less food. And eventually, it leads to weight loss.
“When he gave me the diet plan, I thought there’s no way I could do this,” Nikki said. But she knew she had to do it, because “it was literally do this or die.”

Nikki shed 130 pounds (approx. 59 kg) in three months before she underwent the gastric sleeve surgery. “About 80 percent of my stomach was removed,” she told Paper Trails.
After the procedure, Nikki was required to follow a strict diet to further reduce her weight and be a lot healthier. She also had therapy sessions with a therapist.
Amazingly, just 12 months after the surgery, she lost 207 pounds (approx. 94 kg), including the 56 pounds (approx. 25 kg) of excess skin that was also surgically removed from her stomach. With a will of steel, Nikki managed to lose 455 pounds (approx. 206 kg) in just two years, going from 649 pounds (approx. 294 kg) to 194 pounds (approx. 88 kg).
“It’s been hard. It has been the hardest two years of my life, but it’s been the most victorious and exciting,” said Nikki in an interview with People in 2017.

“I had faith that it would change my life,” Nikki said. “And I didn’t know how or in what way, but I could just feel that things were going to change and only good things were going to happen from there.”
She was right! As she gained a healthy weight, a new Nikki started emerging.
Having successfully slimmed down, she bought herself a new pair of jeans to celebrate her victory. She is able to help her older brother who suffers from cerebral palsy. To top it all, after all those lonely years, she finally got invited out on a date by Marcus, a friend whom she lovingly called Marc.
Sooooooo… I’m not dead 💀 i just took a much needed break from the Facebook page. Thanks for all of your continued…
The best part of it all—Nikki tied the knot with Marcus in late December 2017 according to Starcasm.
Now, Nikki is the daughter, sister, and wife she always wanted to be deep down inside. And she’s feeling much better about herself after such positive changes.
“It makes me joyous to see where I am today,” she said. “It’s literally given me my life back.”
Nikki’s transformation was nothing short of incredible! It completely turned her life around.
