This hybrid RX is powered by Lexus Hybrid Drive, combining a 3.5-liter V6 engine with electric motors to deliver 308 net horsepower. Power is sent through Electronically-Controlled Continuously Variable Transmission (ECVT) into Dynamic Torque Control AWD. Drive Mode Select alters acceleration and steering feel to suit the mood of the moment.

The RX 450h achieves 31 mpg city and 28 mpg highway for a 30 mpg combined average.

This is the first ever RX F Sport Blackline Special Edition, and the availability will be limited to 1,000 vehicles. Inside, you find unique black trim with white accents, blue stitching, and special floor and cargo mats.

Power-adjustable F Sport NuLuxe front seats and power tilt-and-telescopic steering column provide the ideal position, reach, and visibility for an enriching driving experience.

Reclining and sliding 40/20/40-split rear seats invites additional company to enjoy the ride. The RX 450h’s rear liftgate allows easy loading and unloading of your cargo.

As you get into position, you find a 4.2-inch Multiple-Information Display, an 8-inch touch screen, and the remote touchpad within reach. If you are skilled using the touchpad, then you will do fine. But if you are not an expert, then using the system could be challenging. The infotainment system includes Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and Amazon Alexa support through compatible smart devices.

I would like to recommend a larger digital clock located centrally in the dash. The present one is too small and difficult to read. The inside is surrounded by a silver metallic lining that reflects the sun’s rays across the clock face, making it difficult to read at certain times of the day.

The RX 450h Blackline wears a beautiful Grecian Water or Ultra White paint punctuated by a black grille surround, resting on 20-inch black alloy wheels. LED headlamps, illuminated door handles, daytime running lights, and rain sensing wipers add to the attractive ensemble.

There is a whole cadre of standard advanced safety features. Lexus Safety System+ 2.0 includes: Lane Tracing Assist, Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist, Road Sign Assist, and Pre-collision System with Pedestrian Detection. These features, along with All Speed Dynamic Radar Cruise Control and Intelligent High Beam headlights give a greater sense of confidence and security regardless of weather or terrain. Whether it is a quick trip to the grocery store or vacation to the grandparents, you can expect to arrive safely.
