Police recovered more than 160 pallets of stolen goods, valued at over $1.4 million, during a search warrant served on a Riverside warehouse May 9, authorities announced in a statement.

The items were seized from a warehouse at the 24000 block of Highway 74 in Perris, about 19 miles south of Riverside.

The pallets contained a variety of goods, including food and industrial-grade tools, according to the statement.

The seizure comes as a result of an investigation by deputies on the Moreno Valley Sheriff’s Station Special Enforcement Team since February into an organized retail crime and trailer cargo theft ring, police said.

Rajdeep Singh, 34, a truck driver from Jurupa Valley, was arrested on possession of heroin and drug paraphernalia, according to the statement. Police are still investigating his connection with the case.

“This is an ongoing investigation, and deputies are working to determine Singh’s involvement and identifying additional suspects,” authorities said.

No further information has been made available.

Police urged anyone with more information to contact Deputy Sultan at the Moreno Valley Sheriff’s Station at 951-486-6700.
