NEW YORK—From July 22 to August 31 Shakespeare in the Park will present the musical Hair Tuesday through Sunday at 8 p.m. at the Delacorte Theater in Central Park. The musical, formally known as Hair: The American Tribal Love-Rock Musical.
Tickets for Shakespeare in the Park are free as always, but be prepared to wait in a long line.
Last year, Hamlet was performed from the end of May to end of June. Hair was previously presented at Delacorte Theater last September in a two-night concert version commemorating the 40th anniversary of the musical.
The production includes Jonathan Groff and Will Swenson as Claude and Berger, respectively, and is directed by Diane Paulus.
