"The threat which Iran poses is not only nuclear, but is a comprehensive threat," said Israeli Foreign Minister Tsipi Livni in a meeting with Irish Foreign Minister Micheál Martin Thursday.

"Iran supports Hizbullah, Hamas and other extremist elements in the region and is a threat not only to Israel," she said. Livni also said that Iran rejects the international demand to halt the enrichment of uranium, and thereby the world should respond by increasing and intensifying the sanctions against Iran.

On Wednesday and Thursday Iran's Revolutionary Guards have reportedly launched missile tests which where claimed to be newly developed. Israeli experts told Haaretz Israeli newspaper that those missiles can carry warhead of 750kg (1650 pound) and can be used with unconventional warheads.

Livni also Issued a condemnation of the terror attack on the Consulate General of the United States of America in Istanbul that took place on Wednesday, in which 6 had been killed.

"There can be absolutely no justification for this reprehensible act of terror, which underscores the need for coordination of international efforts against the organizations that carry out these murderous operations, and their supporters," she said.
