MELBOURNE—A month after academic painter Mr. Zhao attended the Chinese Spectacular performed by Divine Performing Arts, he still finds himself recalling different aspects of the show with joy.

He said that pure compassion and pure beauty expressed in the show struck a sympathetic chord in its audience. This world-class performance, closely related to the inner quality of its artists who are the practitioners of traditional culture, won everyone's admiration. The awe-inspiring performances broaden his view and help him to see life and art more clearly. He also commented that the director of the show must be a worshipful high-minded scholar!

Mr. Zhao told an Epoch Times reporter, "Every single movement of the dancers touched the audience's hearts. Every gesture and every movement of the performers were filled with compassion, attraction and breathtaking beauty, reflecting such value orientations as the integrity, sincerity, justice and truth. It deserves to be called Divine."

"Although my seat was a little bit far from the stage, I was still able to see the show clearly. I had a very deep impression of the lead dancer; every movement she made touched my heart, this kind of feeling can be understood but cannot be explained in words. I admired her excellent artistic expression greatly."

Mr. Zhao said that he has been studying painting for years but he really didn't know anything special about Chinese culture. His vision is totally different now that he has experienced the Spectacular. He said, "The beginning of the show was already impressive and amazing; I applauded immediately and was shocked by the scene. It was so unbelievable! It really shook people's hearts and souls!"

Mr. Zhao said, "As a Buddhist, I also cultivate with sitting in meditation but I can't compare that with Falun Gong practitioners who believe in Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance. The special characteristic of the Spectacular is that there is cultivation in it, especially the good that is encompassed in it; that's why it is so attractive and touching. I saw that the people sitting around me were touched to tears; they were really touched by the good conveyed in the artistry."

"I study oil painting and Chinese painting and I have always been exploring what characteristics of Chinese painting could be superior to Western oil painting. I have found it out from the dances: The inside cultivation can make each movement of the performers display ethical beauty, which conforms to the laws of universe in which we live. Every single detail in the Spectacular was really most fascinating and enjoyable."

"I have also been trying to find a way to express the inner meaning of Chinese art, to which Western modern art has brought impingement. I finally understand what Oriental art is and what dancing is. After seeing this show, I understand both art and life more deeply than before."

Regarding those programs about the persecution of Falun Gong, Mr. Zhao said, "Falun Gong practitioners bear no ill will towards their persecutors; they, whose artistic level of performance has reached the peak, so calmly exhibited the rich and profound meaning of Chinese traditional culture, using their artistry to give the audiences a feast for the eyes."

Mr. Zhao said lastly: Those artists of the Divine Performing Arts have artistically reproduced the most authentic Chinese traditional culture, aiming at clearing up the source of moral character. That's awesome! He is looking forward to seeing the Divine Performing Arts' Chinese Spectacular next year.
