HUNTSVILLE, Alabama—Kryztyna Papp and Mark Campbell were very impressed with the Chinese Spectacular when they saw the show at the Von Braun Concert Hall on Tuesday. A dancer who has "done some performance in the past few years," Papp said she has recently returned to her hometown of Huntsville. "I'm back here and I'm glad to see this. I think it's beautiful."
She said her favourite piece was the Mongolian Bowl Dance, adding that the show was "spiritually positive."
"I just love what the whole show represents…. Especially right now with the whole Chinese and Tibetan turbulence, I think it's good to see another side. I think it's really good that there's some very spiritually positive Chinese influence out there."
Campbell said the Spectacular is an "extremely beautiful thing. It had some powerful messages in there."
Papp added that her mother has never really left Alabama except to go to the beach, so she would like her to see the show, "It would be like bringing the world to her."
Denise Collins and her husband Johnny also thoroughly enjoyed the performance.

"I've been very impressed with the show," said Denise. "I've never really been fond of the Asian culture, but looking at the show I'm just totally in awe. The costumes—I'm a person of color, I just love bright colors. So the uniforms really impressed me. I'll be coming back" "Me too," said Johnny, who especially liked the drumming acts and Watersleeves.
"I really liked the drums, and the water. My wife said let's go see the show so I said ok. I didn't really know what we were going to see. I liked the drums, the last scene that they did, [Victory Drums]."
