CALGARY—"It is good, really good. I really liked the colors and the versatility of all the participants; it was incredible," said home renovator Craig Watson after seeing Thursday evening's performance of the Chinese Spectacular.
"It is great, I have always found it fascinating [Chinese culture] and the more I learn the better I feel that I am."
"It is nice. The stories need a plot so there is a sub-meaning to it, they are trying to convey something."
Mr Watson, who said that his favorite piece was a toss-up between the drumming acts and Nymphs of the Sea , also mentioned that he felt Chinese culture is one of the oldest cultures which has been documented and remembered.
"One of the values I think, it is one of the few cultures, it goes back so far and it has been documented and remembered. A lot of the cultures have lost, at some point in time, their history."
'Incredible and unpredictable'
Health science consultant, Kenny Wong also sang the show's praises. "It is wonderful, very good. I'll just give you a couple words: incredible and unpredictable, for the whole performance, very good. Super!"
Wong said that he really admired the skill and beauty of the female dancers and appreciated the level of difficulty involved in coordinating all of them to move in unison.
