SYDNEY, Australia—After seeing the Thursday night performance of the Chinese Spectacular, sales representative Nora Roman had this to say to her friends: "Come to see it! [You] have to come, it's beautiful!"
Ms Roman was accompanied by her friend, Marta Schapers, a childcare worker who migrated to Australia from Argentina almost 30 years ago. Ms Schapers received her Spectacular ticket as a gift from the parents of one of her students.
When asked what she thought of the show, she replied: "Beautiful – enjoyed it very, very much."
Ms Schapers said that she would tell her friends that the Chinese have a "very interesting culture" and described the Spectacular as: "Something very different."
When asked which programme they favoured most, both ladies replied: "The last dance ['Victory Drums']", but then went on to say: "Everything! Everything was lovely! The drums were fantastic!"
Both ladies also enjoyed the solo performance by tenor Hong Ming, whose stirring number 'Rest in Knowing' was met with resounding applause.
"It was a success," Ms Roman told The Epoch Times. "We enjoyed the colours of the clothes, the co-ordination, the music – it was quite nice. Very nice, very enjoyable."
