VIENNA, Austria-"The show was wonderful, genuine Chinese culture, excellent," said Anthony Feng from Taiwan about the Chinese Spectacular in Vienna. The self-employed man working in the Petrochemical sector has lived for the past six years in Vienna.
He is married to Irina Feng from Moldova. When Ms. Feng saw a banner about the Chinese Spectacular at the Vienna University where she is taking a German class, she was certain she wanted to see it.
She said, "I like the Chinese culture. This is the reason why I married a Chinese man." Her husband told her more details about the Chinese culture during the show.
She said about the Spectacular , "This has really enriched my life. I feel as if my heart and my soul are flying."
Feng said that "Through this show, 5,000 years of Chinese culture are safeguarded, the real 5,000-year-old culture."
He especially sees this culture in the fundamental values benevolence and patience, and in his opinion, the show clearly depicted these values. He said he is living by these values in his everyday life.
"It makes the life more harmonious and pleasant. The show motivates people to be good."
Another audience member, a doctor of Chinese medicine, Xuenong Yang appreciated that these fundamental values were depicted in the show.
This former political refugee has had a clinical practice in the 15th Vienna municipality since 18 years.
"I especially liked 'Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance'. This are true Chinese culture. I grew up in the communist China. My childhood, my education at University and my entire bringing up were formed by the class struggle. The value Truthfulness did not exist, nor Compassion. But, here in this show, one feels the harmony, can see a high character, a high level and a high measure of Chinese culture."
After today's show in Vienna, the Spectacular will play in Bratislava on Sunday, carrying on to Prague for more shows next week. A total of 35 shows will be seen in 14 European countries.
