MELBOURNE, Australia—During the intermission of the Chinese Spectacular show Ryan Holmes talked to The Epoch Times of his impression so far.
"I think it is fantastic ... the sheer volume of dances and they way they all integrate together."
"The drumming, the lights, the whole way it began, the way the curtain raised at the beginning, the dry ice, and there were 20 or so dancers all ready and the way the show started."
"The scene with the three imprisoned women was very powerful, and also I liked the nine suns in the sky where he was destroying the suns, I thought that was very well done."
Mr. Holmes, a computer software engineer, particularly noted the digital backdrops during the show.
"I liked the integration between the background - how the Gods were ascending from the heavens - and then they walked out from backstage. They used great techniques; they have obviously put a lot of thought into how they integrate everything, so that the show flows well," he said.
He said he had read it was one of the biggest Chinese performing groups outside of China. "So I thought it would be unique and interesting and outside what I would normally see."
"I thought it was a once in a lifetime opportunity".
