STOCKHOLM, Sweden—As the Divine Performing Arts Chinese Spectacular impresses audiences at Stockholm's Circus Theater with its one of a kind portrayal of Chinese traditional culture, standing ovations are becoming a constant occurrence during the shows.

"Such a lovely show" said Johan Bille, a manager at Telia Telecom Company, who attended Tuesday's show. "So different from what we normally see here in Sweden. It was a really nice show.

"My biggest impression was the drums, mostly because they are so powerful. Also the dancers are so acrobatic and their balance and their costumes were perfect. I like also liked the dance called Herding on Mongolian plains, that too was one of my favorites," said Bille.

Haval Akrawi, who works also works at Talia Telecom, also attended the show.

"The show was amazing, powerful, beautiful and very different. I liked the colors and everything else about the show," he said, adding, "You are more then welcome, very welcome to come back to Sweden."

Bille explained that his wife's parents had visited China.

"My wife's parents were in China last year and my youngest boy is also interested in China, so he is talking a lot about the Chinese culture and the language as well everything else. We actually go to the library a lot and check out children's books about China.

"I think he is so interested in China because his grandparents came back and gave him some gifts and told him stories about China. Like where they went and what they saw, so he thought it was very interesting."

Bille explained what brought him to the show. "I knew some people working with the show and thought I would take a chance and see something new."

After it finishes its international tour, the DPA's Chinese Spectacular will have played to 65 cites and an audience of about 650,000 members.
