VIENNA—Dr. Yang attended the both Divine Performing Arts shows on March 6 and 7. He came to watch both of them because he was so moved by them.
Dr. Yang, who came to Austria 18 years ago from mainland China and owns a clinic of Chinese medicine, came to see the show with ten of his patients.
Dr. Yang said, "I felt inspired by the show. The Chinese culture can never be erased. It is engraved in people's hearts, and I could feel it. The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) has destroyed Chinese culture. They twisted it and then sold it for profit. It is outrageous! The performance by Divine Performing Arts is leading us back and guiding us to look for our Chinese roots and to recover what we have lost. What is Chinese culture? What is the meaning of life? How should the Chinese go into the future?"
Dr. Yang said that, through watching the show he was inspired by the tolerance, understanding, and harmony expressed in it. "But this harmony is not the same as the one lauded in China. [The Chinese authorities] arrest petitioners, suppress dissidents to put up a façade of harmony and to sustain their rule. What they are doing is to repress democracy and silence people's voice," Mr. Yang said.
"The harmony emitted from the show is different. It is rooted in the heart. It's about people being considerate toward one another, understanding one another, and being tolerant of one another. Also, this show told us that the wicked will never prevail over the righteous. The evil won't last long. So, there are many lessons that can be learned from the show," said Dr. Yang.
Dr. Yang said that after he saw the show he had a different feeling about life. "Whenever I thought of China, I thought of the Tiananmen Massacre of 1989, the horrendous crimes committed [by the CCP] against people and humanity. However, when I watched the Divine Performing Arts show I felt a light in my heart was turned on. I am not a Falun Gong practitioner, and yet I started to understand what truthfulness is, what compassion is, and what forbearance is. 'Truthfulness, compassion, and forbearance' are three simple words with profound meaning. I can't expect to have a thorough understanding of them within a few days or after seeing just one show. That is why I came to watch the show again. When people have a benevolent thought, they may connect to a Buddha. If there is another chance or if Divine Performing Arts comes again next year, I will come and watch it again. "
He said excitedly, "I think the show is waking people up, and touching the depths of their hearts. I will try to be a good man, do good deeds, and walk well my journey in life."
He concluded, "The show is really good. It is my sincere hope that more people will watch the show and learn more about the truth, so that people's conscience will be awakened."
