NEW YORK—Gary Zarlengo is the Pastor of a church in Long Island. His wife Diane Zarlengo is a registered nurse. Both of them came to the February 8 showing of the Chinese New Year Splendor at New York's Radio City Music Hall.

Gary said, "We loved it. It was a great opportunity to be exposed to the Chinese culture, dance, music, songs, and instruments."

With a number of different performances, the show not only portrayed the 5,000 years of China's culture, but also presented the values upheld by the people of what was once referred to as the "Divine Land."

Gary was particularly touched by the principles that appeared in the shows. "I appreciated the fact that they emphasized the philosophy of Truth and Compassion and Forbearance. Because we are Christians, we believe that Jesus taught that strongly, and we are glad that those virtues were endorsed. Thank you so much. We love the Chinese people."

His wife Diane added, "Wonderful, it was absolutely wonderful. We thoroughly enjoyed all the instruments, the dance, the culture. It's beautiful, beautiful. It's a beautiful show.

By incorporating the gentle movements of classical Chinese dance, colorful costumes, beautiful music, and a rich digital backdrop; the performance moved across dynasties with tales and dances both ancient and modern.

Gary summed up the show in three words: "Soothing, peaceful, enjoyable."

The Chinese New Year Splendor continues in New York through Saturday, Feb. 9. For other shows in the Divine Performing Arts world tour, please visit:
