ANTWERP, Belgium—Herr Jozef Van Doninck, a retired worker from Heist-op-den-berg, shared his feelings about the Wednesday night performance of the Chinese Spectacular in Antwerp.
Herr Van Doninck said, "I think the show was tremendously beautiful, very beautiful. It was very fine—the drums, the costumes, very beautiful clothing. The text that appeared on the screen behind the stage was very well done. It was fantastic—this was purely enjoyable!"
"Next year I will certainly come back. I have enjoyed it very much, honestly."
Herr Van Doninck added, "The singing, the opera voices—I liked very much. I have been singing for 20 years in a choir in a Flemish music theater (Heistse Operette Kring), but what I saw here was something different. They are very good singers. Also, with the live orchestra, it becomes even better."
"The act with the little girl touched me very much. Also, the backdrop with the birds was fantastic, really splendid. We are really happy that we came to watch the show—it was a real pleasure."
