The first Divine Performing Arts Chinese Spectacular in Tokyo, Japan attracted a large Japanese audience on Tuesday night.
Matsuoka Youichi, of Okinawa, loves to travel. He learned about the Spectacular four days ago while he was traveling in Tokyo. He had originally planned to return to Okinawa on the next day, but decided to postpone his return to watch the performance.
"Although I come to Tokyo very often, (I know) there is no such shows in Tokyo or Okinawa. I learned that the Divine Performing Arts group is touring around the globe. It must be a gorgeous show,” he said before the show started.
Matsuoka has been to China four or five times.
“I know this performance is different from the kind of performance by Shanghai Acrobatics,” he said.
Matsuoka said people from Okinawa are particularly interested in Chinese traditional culture.
"People in Okinawa will certainly like the Spectacular. It would be great if it will tour to Okinawa next year. I hope you make great efforts in promoting it," he said.
