CHICAGO—The "Chinese New Year Spectacular," by the Divine Performing Arts company on tour of major cities around the world, is currently playing in Chicago at the Arie Crown Theatre. The production has left audiences in various states of awe expressed in squeals of delight that range from the words "magnificent" and "beautiful" to phrases like, "I fell in love with it"—as one man emphatically stated after last night's show.

Jennifer Ramke and Caroline Higgenbottom were already in the spirit of the "Spectacular" when they decided to dress up in Chinese costumes just to watch the show. Jennifer remarked, "It's a beautiful and very colorful performance. It's magnificent."

Diane, a resident of the windy city, added: "I wasn't sure what to expect when I walked into the theater. The 'Spectacular' is colorful and lively. I'm enjoying it a lot!"

Alton Watkins said: "It's all just so, well, spectacular! I couldn't tell which performance I liked the best. I couldn't choose between them. A friend of mine bought my wife and me tickets to see the show and I'm so glad that he did. I will definitely come back next year to see the show again and I'll recommend it to my friends."

Guan Yu and her family don't live anywhere near Chicago. They flew in just to see the show. Guan exclaimed, "Last year, we saw the show in San Francisco and decided that we must see it again. It's truly beautiful!"

In the midst of the Divine Performing Arts world tour, there are still opportunities left to take in the "Chinese New Year Spectacular."
