The Chinese New Year Spectacular made its 2008 Canadian debut on Sunday before a sold-out audience of 2100 at the National Arts Centre in Ottawa.
The show, which has been billed as a renaissance of Chinese traditional culture, without the cultural influence of the Chinese Communist Party, received glowing reviews and a standing ovation.
Its success has continued, moving on to Montreal on Tuesday for four more shows.
Divine Performing Arts will host five Chinese New Year Spectacular shows in Toronto this weekend at the Sony Centre (formerly the Humingbird) before continuing its world tour of over 60 cities, including more Canadian cities this spring. More info at www.BestChineseShows.com .
