Tallahassee - On March 29, 2006, ten Floridians who practice Falun Gong came to the state capital to inform their representatives about the recent disclosure of a concentration camp for Falun Gong practitioners in Sujiatun, China. On March 8, 2006, a reporter for a Japanese television news agency who specialized in covering China disclosed to The Epoch Times that the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) operates a secret camp in the Sujiatun District of Shenyang City. According to the source, the camp has a crematorium and a large number of doctors. Six thousand Falun Gong practitioners have been detained at the camp, and none have left the facility alive.
A second person confirmed the existence of the camp and revealed that camp officials are taking bodily organs from the Falun Gong practitioners while they are alive and then cremating the bodies. She is a former employee of the hospital affiliated with the Sujiatun camp and also the former wife of a surgeon who was involved in the illegal organ harvesting. Subsequently, a military doctor from the Shenyang military zone disclosed a network of camps where Falun Gong practitioners are killed for their organs.
Falun Gong practitioners came from St. Pete, Jacksonville, Lake City, and Tallahassee. Yibo Huang, from Jacksonville, said, "I came to Tallahassee because I felt the urgency of saving lives. People don't realize the true face of the Chinese Communist Part [CCP]. People wonder how the CCP can get a good doctor to do an evil thing. A relative told me that it was not news that doctors harvest organs from death row criminals because the hospital where a family member worked has done that. She would not be surprised if something like Sujiatun happened. What can we do about it? Here I am. This is what we can do."

Sherwood Liu, from St. Pete, said, "Falun Gong has been persecuted in China for seven years. Thousands have died, but what is happening in Sujiatun shows how little we know about the depth of the persecution. We do not know how many Sujiatuns there are in China. Today we came to our elected officials. This crime of genocide has to be stopped."
At the capitol, one group passed out a special edition of The Epoch Times that covers the breaking story. A banner in Chinese and English was visible to motorists passing by in front of the old capitol building. People coming in and out of the building learned about the organ-harvesting campaign conducted by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and had an opportunity to sign a petition to President Bush.
Another group went to the offices of every Florida representative and senator and to Governor Jeb Bush to leave informational material and a letter describing the concentration camp. The letter asked Florida legislators and the governor to join the Southeast U.S. Falun Dafa Association in urging President Bush: to call on Hu Jintao to disband all such concentration camps and end the CCP's persecution of Falun Gong practitioners; to raise the issue face to face when he meets with Hu in the United States this month; and to call for an international investigation into the Sujiatun concentration camp.
Most of the legislators were in session at the time; so the Falun Gong practitioners spoke mainly with their assistants. Many were shocked at the news, said that they would relay the information, and encouraged the practitioners to come back to explain the matter directly to the legislator. Many also asked how they could help at the state level.
There were many visitors on the square between the new and old capitol buildings. University students and staff were celebrating an occasion for Florida State University. Florida mayors, supervisors, and their assistants were also holding a conference. Many people expressed shock upon learning about the concentration camp and signed the petition to President Bush.
