About 100 groups and 70 professional alliances have signed an open letter, initiated by The Global Mission to Rescue Persecuted Falun Gong Practitioners (GMRPFGP), addressed to organizations, media companies, governments and all social sectors throughout the world, condemning the Chinese Communist Party's (CCP) death camps and labor camps. On April 12 the GMRPFGP sent this letter, calling for an urgent rescue of Falun Gong practitioners suffering genocide in China, and made efforts to collect signatures in support of this rescue movement.
"A brutal and inhuman mass killing such as this is absolutely not allowed! Let us all take action, for the sake of basic human conscience, morality, and happiness of everyone on earth!" said the organizer of the GMRPFGP, Mr. He Haiying.
The letter asks the signers to condemn the inhuman persecution that Falun Gong practitioners have suffered at the hands of the Chinese communist regime. It specifically speaks to a series of concentration camps where CCP extracts organs from living inmates, many of whom are Falun Gong practitioners.
He Haiying said, "Since the CCP's criminal practice of harvesting organs from live Falun Gong practitioners has been exposed, individuals, groups, and government organizations have called for an end to the CCP's atrocities." He also points out that many people still have not stepped forward, however.
Mr. He added, "According to a limited investigation, the CCP is preparing to kill all potential informants. Moreover, the elimination of witnesses may have already started—the current situation is very critical."
Mr. He calls on international society to quickly coordinate a comprehensive, in-depth and independent investigation into China's labor camps, prisons, brainwashing centers, hospitals and related organizations. He states that international society can make full use of high-tech aids and resources such as satellites, that would make the investigation easily achievable. He also called on medical personnel, police officers and labor camp staff in China who have participated in the crimes at various concentration camps to collect evidence and expose the situation. The GMRPFGP will work with various government and aid organizations to provide all possible assistance for witnesses who come forward.
Mr. He said, "The argument of 'insufficient' evidence is groundless and irresponsible." He explained thet there are two issues which must be addressed. The first is how to immediately stop the harvesting of organs from live people.
Mr. He discourages people from focusing on how to obtain information on the evidence of the live harvesting of human organs and the number of the victims who have been killed. "Rescuing people is like stopping a fire, it is a basic question of humanity and not some technicality." He points out that perhaps the information we know now about the persecution is just the tip of the iceberg.
The second issue is the argument that there is a lack of sufficient evidence. "If people claim that there's insufficient evidence, then they should immediately organize an independent and extensive investigation into China, instead of waiting for more tragedies to occur as 'evidence,' " he says.
He Haiying emphasized that our actions today will be left for future generations. He said, "The historical lesson is profound. If international society does not take immediate action, out of fear or personal interest, and allows this atrocity to continue, our conscience will plague us in the future. It would leave a shameful stain on humanity that would be hard to wash away. The other option is to leave our descendants with the legacy of our humanity, morality and justice--something worthy of praising."
