Reverend Xiong Yan Withdraws from the CCP

The Epoch Times

I am in complete agreement with and support the movement of withdrawing from the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). This movement is one of deep meaning in history and of high value at present. It is the manifestation of peaceful, non-violent resistance that we have advocated for many years. I believe that if we join forces to strengthen this movement, the one-party dictatorship of the CCP will collapse soon. The Chinese nation and the Chinese people will experience a political rebirth and true freedom. The most profound meaning is that the movement expresses a spiritual rejection of the evil … [of communism].

God is calling on every Chinese person to withdraw from the CCP’s organizations. His voice is full of wisdom and love. He is calling on those who are confused by the CCP to change their mind and separate themselves from the CCP, so that they can gain freedom, peacefulness, and health.

In retrospect, I have also been fooled and controlled by the CCP. The Tiananmen Square Massacre on June 3 and June 4, 1989 shook me to the core. At noon on June 4, 1989, I posted my statement withdrawing from the CCP on a bulletin board in Beijing University: “I announce my resignation from the CCP. I will sever all connections with the CCP from now on. I have awakened from the illusions and am ready to fight.”

It’s been 16 years since that day. I firmly believe that the CCP will not have a place to stay if the Chinese people awaken from their illusions about the CCP. Today’s China and the Chinese people are moaning under the control of the CCP. Now a great piece of news has arrived. God has spoken out of love, calling on His people to resign from the CCP.

As a participant in the student movement that led to the Tiananmen Square Massacre in 1989, and as a Christian minister, I wholeheartedly call on my fellow Chinese to resign from the CCP as soon as possible. God loves all of you. I also appeal to the billions of Christians around the world to pray that the Chinese people can resign from the CCP. I pray that the compassionate and powerful Lord will answer our call and bestow strength upon the Chinese people. Amen!
