A REALIZATION: China human rights supporters hold a banner last Friday, April 22, when a rally was held to announce that 1 million Chinese people have withdrawn from the Chinese Communist Party, which rules China.

NEW YORK—“Let my people go,” said Holocaust survivor Moshe Barr-Nea to the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). Barr-Nea spoke at a press conference held at the United Nations last Friday, where, democracy advocates and human rights NGO’s rallied, announcing the 1 million mark for withdrawals from the CCP.

According to Stephen Gregory, opinion editor of the Epoch Times, when the “Nine Commentaries,” a series of articles depicting the horrifying history of the CCP, were first published in November 2004, the CCP wouldn’t acknowledge their existence—never mentioning them by name.

In Hubei province, China, local police are currently searching residential homes for copies of the “Nine Commentaries,” which if found, would land the home occupants or owner four years in jail, according to Gregory. In Jilin City of northeast China, the police have been stopping cars driven by “kind faces,” since those are the people local authorities have profiled as most likely to read the “Nine Commentaries.”

“Obviously the CCP has now recognized the Nine Commentaries and the effect they had and they respond the only way they can, with force and brutality,” said Gregory.

Another speaker, Zhiyuan Wang, served in the Chinese army as a military doctor before coming to the United States. He shared his memories of shattered patriotism and shocking realizations as the CCP slaughtered its own people. The latest example being the shooting massacre of civilians protesting the corruption of CCP official’s in Han Yuan, Sichuan province in November 2004.

“In my 25 years of service in China I have never served the people or the country, instead I fell prey to the CCP’s lies and was used by the CCP to sustain its terrorist regime,” said Wang.

Wang called on Chinese soldiers and officials to withdrawal from the CCP.

“Stop being a pawn of the CCP and truly serve the Chinese people and China,” said Wang

According to “The Black Book of Communism: Crimes, Terror, Repression,” published by Harvard University in 1999, Hitler and his Nazi army slaughtered 6 million European Jews. According to the same book, the CCP and its political movements have killed between 60 to 80 million Chinese people since coming to power in China 55 years ago.

Moshe Barr-Nea, who survived the Auschwitz concentration camp in Nazi Germany, said that tyrannical governments—like in the Soviet Union, Nazi Germany, and now Communist China—always persecute innocent victims.

Barr-Nea formed an organization in 1953, which helped one million Soviet Jews escape the Soviet Communist regime and gave them a chance to live free of persecution in Israel. He talked of the need to bring American and Jewish people of good will together to save the people of China.

Passerby Helene Zimmerman who was visiting from Florida noticed “the passion of the people of such commitment,” and was impressed by how smooth the rally was.

Kathleen Quain, UN Representative for Information Habitat, said that the global community is watching China’s economic and human rights issues and is horrified by the atrocities that China’s own leaders would inflict on their countrymen.

“President Hu, are you capable of stopping the tortures by this coming Monday?” asked Quain of China’s current leader, President Hu Jintao.

Quain suggested transforming centrally located police stations currently used as torture centers into environmental headquarters for a new clean water infrastructure.

“You the Chinese people are global brothers and sisters. We are one in partnership with you to reach freedom on your land,” said Quain.
