Xin Fei from The Epoch Times interviewed Mr. Zeng Ning, a famous democratic movement representative in Guizhou, China.

Reporter: Hello, Mr. Zeng. This incoming Saturday, April 23, several dozens of overseas pro-democracy organizations, overseas Chinese organizations and The Epoch Times will jointly hold the “Gathering to Support the One Million Resignations from the CCP, Pro-Democracy and Freedom”. Friends from Mainland China are welcomed to participate in any way they can.

Mr. Zeng Ning: I think it is a very good activity. Please express our opinions [from Mainland China] as well. I hereby represent the members of the Democratic Movement in Guizhou, China, to support the “One Million Resignations from the CCP, Pro-Democracy and Freedom Gathering in New York”. The transformation and development of Chinese society have reached the point where people with intellectual ability inside and outside of China strongly raise their voice together to support the tide of resigning from the CCP in Mainland China. It has reached the point where the democratic transformation in Mainland China is now rapidly promoted. The time has arrived! I hope people inside and outside of China will proactively take the current opportunity to facilitate the maturing and arrival of the transformation in Mainland China.

Resign from the CCP; It is Time for the Democratic Movement in China to Make a Choice

Reporter: You may have noticed the grand tide of resignations from the CCP, which has reached nearly 900,000 resignations.

Mr. Zeng Ning: Yes, I have seen it. I think resigning from the CCP plays a very important role, and I totally agree with this activity. At the current stage and in this situation, it is time for people to make a choice and declare their associations with the CCP by resigning from it.

Many people used to have a different perspective, thinking that joining the CCP or influencing the CCP from within could transform the nature of the CCP and transit China to democracy. But through experience, people have gradually realized that there was hardly any effect or result. Therefore people have started to resign from the CCP so as to dissolve its influence, control and persecution against Chinese society.

Resigning from the CCP is a relatively feasible and effective way to dissolve the dictatorship of the CCP. My perspective on it also went through a process of transformation. Now I think that resigning from the CCP is actually a clear and wise choice. It could be counted as a way to advance the Chinese society further to democracy.

Since China started the reform and opened up 20 years ago, a very small group of CCP members have degenerated into a criminal group, purely pursuing for individual profits. In order to protect their profits, such group of people use all possible means and are willing to sacrifice everything, including letting the Chinese society and the Chinese nation suffer. The crack down in 1989, the suppression and persecution against Falun Gong practitioners after 1999, and the abuse of human rights through brutal torture of dissidents and their activities, etc., all expose that the CCP, in order to protect the interest of this very small group, is willing to commit any crimes at any cost. This special group within the CCP put their interest above that of China and the Chinese nation.

Although on the surface the CCP has over 60 million members, not all of them truly want to defend the present dictatorship and protect the interest of a small group of people. In fact, among the 60 million CCP members, only a very small number of the top leaders and those related to them have truly obtained significant gains. The majority of the CCP members are merely victims tied to the CCP, which is on its way to its grave.

As time progresses and along with the changes in the society, more and more people, including those within the CCP who have intellectual ability, have gradually realized the nature of the CCP. More and more people have a clear understanding and it is time for the huge number of the CCP members who have a conscience and intellectual ability to make a clear choice.

Upon the arrival of the 21st century, the new epoch, and along with the waves of criticism toward the CCP outside of China, including the study of and criticism towards the CCP at the surface and with respect to its nature, from the past to the present, Chinese people and CCP members choose to resign from the CCP. It is a wise choice. It is an effective way and powerful weapon to dissolve the dictatorship of the CCP in Mainland China.

Two Direct Factors that Cause the Grand Tide of Resignations from the CCP

Reporter: The recent grand tide of resignations from the CCP has never happened in history before. What do you think are the causes?

Mr. Zeng Ning: It is not by accident that the grand tide of resignations happens at this time. The main reason is that overseas Chinese have entered into a new level, a higher level, in their understanding of the CCP. There are two main factors that contribute to this:

One is the “Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party” (Jiuping), which thoroughly analyzes and summarizes the CCP’s history, its current situation, its theory and its reality. The Jiuping deeply analyzes the nature of the CCP, being very meaningful. I think highly about the Jiuping.

The other direct factor is the spirit of “Truthfulness, Compassion and Tolerance” and the basic excellent characteristics of the Chinese nation and the Chinese culture expressed and demonstrated by Falun Gong practitioners in Mainland China facing a brutal persecution. This, in fact, contradicts the darkness and the ugly nature of the CCP.

The CCP’s brutal and inhuman persecution against Falun Gong exposed its crime and drew criticism around the world. In contrast to the peacefulness and rationality from Falun Gong practitioners and their appeal to justice and righteousness, the CCP clearly presents its hideous nature and commits the crimes unpardoned. As Falun Gong practitioners in Mainland China stick to their morality and belief, clarifying the truth to the people, people around the world, including many CCP’s inter-party members, have recognized more clearly the evil nature of the CCP.

For a long period of time, Falun Gong practitioners, under persecution in Mainland China, adhere to the principle of “Do not hit back when hit or talk back when insulted.” Their practice of the spirit of “Truthfulness, Compassion and Tolerance” surprises heaven and earth and touches Buddhas and Gods. They have completely manifested the essence of the Chinese nation and Chinese culture. From Falun Gong practitioners we can see the shining points of humanity and the principles of the Chinese nation. It is this spiritual force that is bringing down and dissolving the dictatorship of the CCP, its darkness and its crimes.

Public Announcement of Zeng Ning’s Resignation from the CYP

Reporter: Are you a CCP member?

Mr. Zeng Ning: I am not a CCP member. I did not join the Communist Youth League (CYL) either. But I want you to help me resign from the Communist Young Pioneers (CYP) through The Epoch Times’ Tuidang website.

I think this is very important. It is to come clean with the past that one has lived. This history is not only shameful, but also related to violence, disgrace and crime. Therefore it is very meaningful to completely sever all connections to the CCP that ties to the history of crimes and disgrace in the past.

The Significance of Announcing the Resignation from the CCP (and the CYL and the CYP)

Reporter: Someone mentioned that announcing one’s resignation is not only to be responsible to oneself; it is also to promote righteousness, arouse consciousness of others, help others to overcome fear and directly eliminate the evil.

Mr. Zeng Ning: Yes. Some people might still be debating whether to publicly announce their withdrawal from the CCP (and the CYL and CYP). They might think it is acceptable to resign in the heart. However, I think it is crucial to go through this step, in that one expresses in public one’s will to disassociate from the CCP and its disgraceful past, thereby openly promoting righteousness, informing and encouraging people in other countries, increasing righteousness, and gradually removing the environment suitable for darkness and crime.

On the issue of resigning from the CCP (and the CYL and the CYP), many people in China dare not express their perspectives as they have fears. Others, as a low percentage of the population, are still being fooled by the CCP’s lies and deception. Fear and deception are the tools the CCP uses to control and fool people. If our countrymen can overcome their fear and if the lies of the CCP are uncovered, left with no market or dark place to hide, more people will wake up. When more people wake up, it will provide the opportunity and make it possible for more people overcome their fear. Without lies being uncovered, it will be more difficult for people to overcome this fear. Overcoming fear and exposing lies compliment each other and are directly related.

The best way to expose the lies is to stand up and to express one’s opinions and perspectives, such as announcing in public the resignation from the CCP (and the CYL and the CYP). It will encourage people to expose the lies of the CCP. If most people can proactively do so, the history of darkness and crime will be rewritten and the unjust situation will be altered.

The only way for the Chinese nation to be reborn and to change the nation’s fate of being abused and exploited is to have more and more countrymen bravely step up and speak out - to bravely stand up to declare one’s break with the CCP’s darkness and crimes. This deed carries great significance.
