JAKARTA – On the morning of December 7, 2005, Mr. Yushuf Carla Kalla, vice president of Indonesia, accepted a copy of the the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party (The Nine Commentaries) from a volunteer of The Epoch Times at the Annual National Book Fair of Indonesia.
After Mr. Carla Kalla hosted the opening ceremony of the 2005 25th Annual National Book Fair in the Hilton Conference Hall, a volunteer of The Epoch Times presented him a deluxe edition of The Nine Commentaries . Mr. Kalla was visiting exhibitors located in the two big exhibition halls at the time and he accepted the book politely and asked, "Is this for me?" After getting the affirmative answer, he nodded his head and showed his gratitude with a smile.
The Epoch Times volunteer told Mr. Kalla that The Nine Commentaries was published by The Epoch Times and that it was the first time that The Epoch Times participated in the book fair. The book fair has been held in the Hilton Conference Hall for the past several years. This year's book fair is open to the public from December 7th to December 11th. More than one hundred publishers attended the exhibition, including publishers from those from Singapore, Malaysia, Brunei and other neighboring countries.
