On October 10, the villagers asked the work group sent out by the Shanwei City government to Dongzhou Village to resolve the dispute between the villagers and the local authorities, and to ask the local authorities to leave the village. The group entered the village on August 11 but did not resolve any problems for the villagers. The villagers jointly expelled the group.
