Miss Ada, from “misada,” the Hebrew word for restaurant, has opened in Fort Greene, serving modern Mediterranean fare and a creative take on traditional Israeli cuisine. Chef and owner Tomer Blechman, who has worked at Gramercy Tavern, Maialino, and Cookshop, has family roots in Latvia, which is reflected in the menu featuring dishes such as herring crostini with arugula and scallions. Other highlights include a dry-aged kebab burger and masabaha hummus with charred ramps.
