Altesi Downtown, a casual new counterpart to the uptown Altesi Madison, serves a menu of seasonal Italian antipasti, pastas, and pizzas. After much experimentation, owner Paolo Alavian decided to make the pizzas in an oval shape, in order to keep the dough crispy throughout. Many of the pasta dishes feature I Sapori del Vallo pastas from Campania, made with durum wheat grown in the Cilento and Vallo di Diano National Park.

Menu highlights include pappardelle with wild boar ragu, and the Carciofi alla Romana (fried artichokes with bufala ricotta and crispy prosciutto). In addition to 82 seats inside, an outdoor seating area accommodates 22.

Open daily for lunch and dinner, as well as weekend brunch.
