In London, restaurateurs Tom Cummings and Morten Tjelumopen grew loyal fan bases for their all-day coffee shops serving high-quality cups of joe alongside composed savory and sweet dishes. So the two decided to open a similar concept in Carroll Gardens, Brooklyn, where coffee beans are roasted on-site, and coffee drinks made with the Slayer Steam espresso machine, which prevents milk from diluting when it gets steamed.
East One’s all-day menu includes offerings such as malted pancakes with berry compote, maple syrup, and mascarpone; the Brooklyn Fry Up, similar to English breakfast, with bacon, sausage, tomatoes, baked beans, and fried eggs; and Pozole Verde, with hominy soup, pork, avocado, poblano chili peppers, and radish.
Open daily for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
