The Meatball Shop has opened its seventh location, with an adjacent bar called The Sidepiece, located in Hell’s Kitchen. The bar can be accessed through The Meatball Shop or a separate street entrance. The beverage director is Rene Hidalgo, who previously worked at Gramercy Tavern and Milk & Honey.

The bar menu, crafted by chef-owner Daniel Holzman, features new dishes such as Meatball Fondue, mini chicken meatballs served on a silver platter with melted Alpine Swiss sauce. For dipping, the dish comes with Fuji apples, roasted broccoli, focaccia, Niman Ranch bacon strips, and mozzarella cubes.
