Linkin Park frontman Chester Bennington could potentially be buried alongside his close friend Chris Cornell. The plot at Hollywood Forever cemetery next to Cornell is available, and the cemetery expects Bennington’s family to buy it, according to a report from TMZ.

Representatives for the cemetery said they could not release any information on whether Bennington will or will not be buried there.

The two played music on tour, and sang certain songs together. Bennington committed suicide in the same way the Soundgarden frontman Cornell did two months earlier. He killed himself on what would have been Cornell’s 53rd birthday.

Cornell’s death is what may have led to Bennington’s death. That is how some are looking at it. Bennington sang “Hallelujah” at Cornell’s funeral. On “The Jimmy Kimmel Show Live” Linkin Park played the startlingly relevant “One More Light,” from Linkin Park’s latest album by the same name. Bennington was almost too emotional to get through the entire song, nearly breaking into tears. Cornell died just one day before the release of “One More Light” and the “Jimmy Kimmel Show” performance.

In what is believed to be Bennington’s last interview, he revealed that he had gone through some of his darkest days before “One More Light” was released. He said he attended therapy, and that his family, bandmates, and friends helped him pull through.

Bandmates said the death of Cornell was overwhelming for Bennington.

Blink 182 announced the cancellation of its tour with Linkin Park. They are offering refunds to fans who purchased tickets to the Welcome to Blinkin Park tour. The North American leg of Linkin Park’s One More Light World Tour is also canceled.

Bennington was 41 years old. He is survived by his six children and wife, and his Linkin Park bandmates. From 2013 to 2015 Bennington was also the frontman for Stone Temple Pilots, a band he idolized.
