Bonn Altstadt (Old town), Heerstrasse (Street), Cherry Blossoms. Usually the street is calm but during the appr. ten days of bloom many people come to watch and make photos (selfies) and films. Also somae tour operators offer to come here. They get information from the town of Bonn when the trees are in full bloom. So last weekend many Asian people came here with buses. But also people from many countries come here. Tomorrow the whole grandeur will be over because it will rain. At the end there will be a carpet of petals on the ground. In the late 1980s the trees were planted to grade up the old town but not until the last five years the phenomenon was only known to locals. The sort of cherry tree comes from China and Korea.
