McDonald’s World Cup Ad’s Incredible Trick Shots Are Real

McDonald’s’ modest World Cup ad shot on the streets with no special effects whatsoever may have some of the most impressive shots of any World Cup commercial. Jen Markham explains.

Plenty of World Cup commercials have huge budgets, huge stars, and huge special effects. But it’s a modest ad shot on the streets with no special effects might be the most impressive. “That’s right. No special effects!” exclaims Markham. This McDonald’s World Cup spot shows a series of people making trick shots that might be too incredible to be true. Like off a wall into a laundry basket on a moving elevator.

But even though the ad recalls previously digitally enhanced ads, a spokesperson from the ad agency that no CGI was used and all the shots are real.
