ALBUQUERQUE, N.M.—Model, actress, and wardrobe designer Serenity Risvik and Mike Gatten, owner of Miracle Industries LLC, had a great time at Shen Yun Performing Arts at Popejoy Hall, on March 26.
“It’s wonderful,” said Ms. Risvik. “I really like the colors and the music all together.”
“We are enjoying it very thoroughly,” said Mr. Gatten.
Shen Yun Performing Arts was established in 2006 in New York with the goal of reviving the genuine traditional culture of China through breathtaking music and dance, according to the website.
“Shen Yun weaves a wondrous tapestry of heavenly realms, ancient legends, and modern heroic tales, taking you on a journey through 5,000 years of Chinese culture,” says the website.
Ms. Risvik said she adored the beautiful costumes of the dancers, especially the colors and floral elements.
“The bright colors, I really like how the colors mix and all the flowers,” she said.
Mr. Gatten was very impressed with the music, the accuracy and precision of the dancers, and the entire production.
“The dancers are very tight. I’m very particular with that. They need to be together, and they do a great job,” he said. “Well done, very good production.”
Mr. Gatten also appreciated learning a little bit about Chinese culture and history, and Ms. Risvik said she was just enjoying the experience.
“I’m loving it,” said Ms. Risvik.
