ESCONDIDO, Calif.—Retired radio personality Chuck Fritsch and his wife Becky Fritsch, a medical billing company owner, absolutely loved Shen Yun Performing Arts at the California Center for the Arts on Feb. 28.
“This was wonderful,” said Mr. Fritsch. “My wife bought the tickets for a Christmas present for me, and it was one of the best Christmas presents I ever got. This is beautiful.”
According to the New York-based company’s website, “Shen Yun—a non-profit organization—has become an international phenomenon, bringing the wonders of ancient Chinese culture to millions across the globe.”
“A Shen Yun performance features the world’s foremost classically trained dancers, a unique orchestra blending East and West, and dazzling animated backdrops—together creating one spectacular performance,” says the website.
Mrs. Fritsch enjoyed many different aspects of the performance, including the colorful hand-made costumes, the vocal soloists, and the strength and skill of the dancers.
“The colors are just amazing,” she said. “I loved the singing. The women have beautiful voices. The way the men jumped, it was amazing, and the drum solos, that was amazing too.”
Mr. Fritsch said the entire performance was very well put together.
“It was just the color and the dancing and the beauty and just everything,” he said. “Everything melded together. It was just a wonderful experience.”
“Can’t wait to see it again next year!” said Mr. Fritsch. He said he would tell his friends, “Come see Shen Yun! That’s what I’m going to say.”
