NEW YORK—Police are looking for a robber who held up five New York City banks in just over an hour and got money from two of them.
The bandit hit a bank on Manhattan’s Upper West Side at 12:50 p.m. Friday and robbed or tried to rob four more banks by 2 p.m.
A police spokesman says the robber’s biggest score was $12,910 at his last target, a Capital One bank on Fifth Avenue.
Surveillance photos from one of the banks show the robber wearing a leather jacket over a New York Jets jersey.
Police believe the same man robbed two banks on April 12.
