Doctor: The Beauty of Shen Yun Is Inspiring
MADISON, Wisc.—Seeing Shen Yun Performing Arts from a retired photographer’s eye, Rick Hergenroether described the performance at the Overture Center for the Arts on the evening of May 8 as amazing. “The color, I am really into the lighting and color, and movement … It was just exquisite the way the ladies moved across the stage. It was effortless.”
Shen Yun’s mission is to revitalized 5,000 years of divinely inspired culture through traditional legends, myths, and morals as depicted by dance, music, and singing.
This culture was almost completely destroyed due to the Chinese communist party. Since Shen Yun is based in New York it is able to freely express this culture outside of China.
“I have spent some time in South East Asia, and it’s too bad they can’t show this is China,” Mr. Hergenroether said. He was very very surprised about this.
Maybe it is because Mr. Hergenroether best summarized Shen Yun as “Beauty, peace, with history.”
The performance rekindled memories. “I am no youngster anymore, so I have a little bit of memories of knowledge in the far east. It’s interesting to me that this goes on back 5,000 years.”
He concluded with “I heard somebody say wow, exquisite. I think I would say that [too about Shen Yun].”
