Zak Bagans of ‘Ghost Adventures’ Buys Gary, Indiana Home Described as ‘Portal to Hell’

Zak Bagans, star of the “Ghost Adventures” television show, has bought a home in Gary, Indiana that is described by its former inhabitants as a “demon home.”

Latoya Ammons, along with local police officers and clergy, has described her family becoming possessed by demons in the home and having to undergo exorcism.

At one point, aid workers who visited the home say that they saw one Ammons’ boys walking backward up a wall with a creepy grin on his face.

Gary police Capt. Charles Austin, for one, said he was initially a skeptic but became convinced after going to the home and witnessing signs of possession.

“We know that there’s evil in that house, and we know that evil is ever-present,” Austin told the Indianapolis Star. “Why go where evil possibly is there? You have no idea what you may run into.”

Austin described how after one trip to the property he heard a growling voice on his radio saying “you outta here” before static.

He said the house is a “portal to hell.”

Father Michael Maginot, who ended up performing on minor and three major exorcisms on the family, says he’s now targeted by demons himself.

Bagans, meanwhile, said that he hasn’t decided what to do with the home but will likely research paranormal activity there.

“It’s not entertainment,” he said. “I really do have a passion for this stuff and the research aspect of this stuff.”

“Ghost Adventures” has been running for nine seasons and involves Bagans, Nick Groff, and Aaron Goodwin investigating reportedly haunted locations.

I love that show. The crew gets to into old buildings that I’d love to roam around in. or live in.

I’ve never heard of this show, has there been a search done of the property and past ownership do you know?

The show is for entertainment. And the night shutdown/lock ins with the crew are not well controlled. The historical sites and the history attached to them is more interesting.
The house he bought , will be interesting to see how any ongoing investigation is documented.
