Yulia Solodyankina, a Russian student at Edinburgh University who went missing, has been confirmed dead.
Remains were found days ago in Argyll west of Arrochar, and police had been working to identify whether the remains were her or not.
They confirmed that they were on Friday, reported Nick Eardley of the Scotsman.
The Yulia campaign group said in a statement: “No words can express the sadness we feel regarding the death of our friend Yulia. We feel blessed to have spent the time that we did with her… Our thoughts go out to her family and loved ones.”
