K.J. Wright, a linebacker with the Seattle Seahawks, broke a bone in his foot and will be out for several weeks.
Seahawks coach Pete Carroll made a statement about the injury after the game Sunday, the Seattle Times reported.
Wright will be out for at least six weeks.
He suffered a non-contact foot injury, preliminary reports say.
Seattle center Max Unger was also injured with a pectoral muscle strain. It is unclear how long he’ll be out.
According to a report from Fox reporter Pam Oliver, Wright threw his helmet in the second quarter against the San Francisco 49ers.
Video footage showed Wright livid on the sideline.
Chris Daniels, a KING-TV reporter, said that Oliver’s report “was ominous,” according to his Twitter account.
