A number of Twitter users on Friday reported problems with the Facebook iPhone and iPad app, saying that it quickly crashes. It appeared that app starting having problems after Friday’s update.
Facebook for iPhone version 6.7 was recently unveiled on Thursday. It now allows users to edit posts, but it appears that some bugs were also introduced.
A large number of users said that the app wasn’t working on their iPhone, iPad, or other iOS devices.
Twitter user Shannon Clark wrote: “Anyone seeing the newest version of the @facebook iOS app crash? I have an iPhone 5 and it is now crashing emerging time I open it.”
A test of two Epoch Times reporters’ iPhones using iOS 7 shows that the app appears to load but then crashes shortly afterward.
“Facebook not working on my iPhone! Argh! Anyone else having problems?!” wrote one user.
Another comment reads: “I’ve had my iPhone for less than a week, and my Facebook app is already closing out after 2 seconds of being open.”
There were numerous tweets about the app crashing, suggesting that it is a widespread problem.
For iOS 7 users, the app may have been automatically updated.
