Benjamin Frazier ID’ed as Suspect in Las Vegas Nightclub Shooting

Benjamin Frazier, 41, was identified as the suspect in the deadly nightclub shooting early on Monday morning in Las Vegas that left one person dead and two wounded.

According to the Las Vegas Review-Journal, Frazier opened fire inside a Bally’s Hotel and Casino after he got into an argument at the Drai’s After Hours nightclub.

He asked security if he could enter the facility before paying a cover charge but ultimately paid the charge. However, he came out and demanded a refund, saying the club wasn’t full, police told the paper.

When the security manager declined him, Frazier allegedly pulled out a gun and started firing. Several people attempted to grab the gun from him.

The manager was shot in the arm and another guard was hit.

A man who was leaving the club tried to help but was shot and killed, police told the paper.

“Typical good Samaritan killed while trying to help,” Sgt. John Sheahan was quoted as saying.

Sheahan told CBS News that the suspect “is in custody. The weapon is in custody.”

The gunman is believed to have acted by himself.

After the incident, the casino was still open for gambling but yellow crime scene tape was seen around the nightclub.
